State of the Community....

In today's world we are no longer looking out for the next man, woman, or child. There once was a time where if a child was acting up or out of line of any sort, the neighbors would step in and discipline or at least get the child in order. To see a woman struggling with her grocery bags was kind of unheard of. There was a gentleman that seemed to appear out of nowhere to assist her with her things. A man that needed a helping hand somehow received it.
But as we all know, times have changed and have changed for the worst. No longer are children being brought up by the community. No longer do we see gentlemen assisting women with anything, and men don't even have a helping and or a pot to piss in if needed.
People are so into themselves and what others can do for them, not what they can do for others. The struggle of today has forced the good mans hand to not have a conscious. The children are running the streets with wreck lace abandonment. Every man, woman, and even child for themselves is the unspoken motto.

Q) How do you feel about this?

A) I personally feel that it is a main ingredient for disaster and self destruction. It is a selfish way of life that we should try to change. It has caused a major setback to all people and is
poison.

Q)Do You consider yourself a Victim of this way of life?

A)At times I have noticed myself thinking just for myself or just the immediate people I know, but I have grown out of that mentality. I am giving back to the community more than I ever have throught volunteer work, feeding the homeless, and giving time to organizations that gives back as well.

Q) What can we do to change this?

A) Giving back to the community, letting them know that they are not left alone in their time of need. Teach the youth the correct way of life and that the easy way out isn't the best way to go. Teach them that hard work is just a test of strength within themselves and is very rewarding in the end.

Social Sites and what you think of them?

As I've noticed and been saying to my friends and associates for sometime now, most social networking sites have become a form of therapy to a lot of people. People logging on sharing their lives so that their close friends and family members can view. Expressions being heard not just for the people or persons intended for, but for the world to see.
Bold statements and thoughts being tweeted or posted on status pages. Everyone responding to them, even friends you may not have or will never meet.
The time and age where sitting down face to face has died out, probably not completely but for the majority of people in today's society. So when you have something on your mind that you may want to express, you can log-on and talk it over on social sites. You get somewhat of the same kind of therapeutic relief as if you were in therapy.

Q1) Is this the right way to express yourself and be heard exposing your thought so many people can read?

A1) I personally think that you have to be careful of what is said. Airing of dirty laundry is definitely not anything I would suggest. There are people that don't have good intentions in this world of ours. But on the flip side, if expressing yourself on a social site helps you from doing something that you will later regret, than I'm all for it. The situation differs from person to person and topic to topic.

Q2) For those who actually do this, does this help you relieve your stress?

A2) It doesn't help me relieve stress but I can understand when you want to be heard and just want some kind of a response. I'm just the kind of person where I just like to address that person or problem when time permits.

Social sites also have been rumored to have a bad taste on peoples relationships. Making it an easy way to meet new people outside of networking. New relationships form and the current relationships get put in jeopardy if not broken up.

Q3) So, should you be cautious of social sites?

A3) I don't think that you have to be cautious of any sites. Trust in the person you are with has to be developed between you and your significant other. I personally believe that you can meet people walking outside, driving, or even at work. So, blaming it on a social site is an excuse. Whether your relationship isn't going well or you or your significant other is just not true.

Q4) Is it the actual site that you have to worry about or your significant other?

A4) As I stated in my last response, I believe its not the social sites. Social sites are intended to be for networking and connecting with friends. Its the people on them that take it to another level and bring the rumors to life.

Q5) Has having a social site torn you/or your significant other apart?

A5) Not in my life.

Now there are many goods of having a social site. Networking with other business minded people as yourself, knowing about what's hot, parties, events, and more. Even actually getting away from someone or something bad in your life, and finding that peace of mind to help you take steps forward.

Q6) How has the social networking world helped you out?

A6) Connecting with friends all the way from elementary to ex-workers. Spreading positive news about www.studiodartmag.com. Seeing the different views of life through the eyes of many, and much more.

Q7) Do you think social sites have more of a positive aspect on people than a negative?

A7) I personally think it is what you make it out to be. I look at these sites as more so of a positive for people, but have noticed the negative in them as well. I connect with all my friends and associates from different areas of the world and without paying a monthly bill.

"Let's Keep it 100"

I asked the question to some people and want to know how you all feel about it as well.
People in life are always wanting and asking for people to be honest, truthful, 100, or however you want to put it. They claim that they can handle the truth and do not want or liked to be lied to. There is a saying that you should be careful of what you ask for because you just might get it. People are always being told and promised things by others in their life, now whether or not it is the truth or not depends on your situation and relationship in your past.
Well, I am making a point because I have witnessed people that somehow accepted dishonesty in their life and know that it is not anywhere near being truthful.

Q) Giving your personal opinion, what makes people come to this point?

Q) Is being truthful sometimes a thin line of being too blunt or even being too rude?

Q)Is there a good and reasonable time to not be truthful?

We all know cases where you or someone else has told someone what they WANT to hear, rather than to tell them what they NEED to hear, just to satisfy them or to not break their heart(s).

Q) Is or was this the best resolution for both you and that person?

Q)Eventually did the TRUTH come to the light and how did it affect the rest of your relationship with that person?

Q) If you or someone you know that has come across this in your life, have you or that person come accustomed to being told what you WANT, rather than what you NEED to hear?

Why is it that......?

There are many questions out there that have been ongoing questions for years and of course there are some new questions that arise everyday. In this blog we will mix it up and see what you all think is the perfect or close to the perfect answer is.

1) Why is it that when most people, both men and women have someone good in there life they are never really satisfied?
They seem to always want more or seem to not give that other person the desired amount of time, respect, attention, etc that is needed. I am not saying that this is intended towards all people, but there are a lot of cases or relationships that this pertains to. For example: Someone that really takes interest in you that you are talking with on a intimate level or about to take the next step in becoming an intimate leveled relationship, provides for you the best possible relationship, EVER. Its to the point where you haven't had or will have anyone treat you any better and you find yourself chasing after someone who doesn't want to be chased. They don't give you the respect, attention, or time needed. There have been many of times where you may of had a friend or even yourself been in this situation. I need to know what is your break down on why we as people chase after what may not be best for us and not pay attention to a good thing that is already on our lives? Is this a psychological thing that we as humans possess, or is it something else?

2) Why is it that the truth hurts?
Constructive criticism is something that is supposed to build you up and make you better in what you are trying to accomplish. So when someone gives constructive criticism, is it the way that it is being said, or is it just that your being judged and it feels like your being attacked?

3) Why is it that people of the same ethnicity hate on each other?
Previously I had conversed with some friends about how in the Spanish community we have a lot of people that sometimes get asked if they are of Mexican decent, and when asked their response is very offensive and uncalled for due to the fact that they aren't.
In the African-American community in some cities and areas of particular cities and the nation, you hear phrases about someone being "too black" or "Red." We all know that this is not the way to act towards one another, but yet we have this ongoing problem within some of these cultures. What makes and gives a person the right to not accept someone due to the shade of there skin and or even the fact that their parents came as one and created a human being that has a specific background.

4) Why is it that in some areas you have people promoting ignorance, as if it is the way of life?
People so-called repping their hoods, but their hoods really aren't repping them.
My theory about this one topic is that if you are from a certain area that is considered "The Hood" and have lived a rough life, and this lifestyle hasn't gotten you or your friends and family nowhere near set goals or dreams, why promote the same ignorance to some one younger that is looking up to you, over and over again? Is it due to the crabs in the barrel syndrome? The fact that we have too many followers out here following after the wrong things in life? Let me know what you think it could be and why? and if you really would like to be heard, let the people know what you think we as a whole can do to stop this repetitive action.

5) Why is it that we have the crabs in the barrel syndrome?
It is a known fact that Jealousy is a very powerful, yet considered a weak emotion. When you actually see someone that has or is doing good in their life, why must there be a dark cloud trying to rain on that person parade? People are known to get jealous over others success and sometimes go out their way to stop them from succeeding any further, or even try taking the rewards of their success. Is this because there are some who just don't like to work for anything compared to those who do?

6)Why is it that a lot of women in the clubs expect for a man to buy them drinks just to engage in a conversation? And Men, do you feel as if you have to comply with this expectation just to converse with her?
Friends of mines had a heated conversation on this question and I feel the need to know what you think and why. For example: Someone said that we expect it because were women and you want to talk to us. I, along with the other males in the room felt that for us to be expected to buy you a drink, just for a conversation is ridiculous. We also felt that if that's all it takes to converse with a lady at the club, then she can be brought or talk to just about anyone that will buy the drink and really doesn't set herself apart.

7)MEN: The women I've talked to would like to know why is it that when Valentines day or any special occasion is nearby, why do we seem to argue and fight more which in turn have us avoid buying gift?

8) Why is it that school cost so much, and why is that we as citizens have to pay for it?
Most people say that the average American child isn't focused as children from other countries. The education system in a lot of cities are not up to par in test scores, but yet we have places that are considering cutting teachers funding, job lost, and more. All of this plays a vital role when our children pursue additional education on a College/University level. We even have adults in school or students that pay out of pocket for schooling. This means on top of having a regular job or two, they have to maintain there studies and focus on bills along they way. When Universities/Colleges think of the cost to attend their University, is this factored in? There are a lot of students that attend school that have to penny pinch and struggle along the way. Struggles such as sharing meal plans with friends, or even eating unhealthy foods, that can cause damage to personal health. Not being able to strictly focus on studies, because they have bills to maintain and more. This is a domino effect, so if given the chance to actually have a say on the pricing system and really be taking serious, what would you say and why? Back up your statements please.

9)Why is it that health care is so costly and we were once considered as the richest country in the world?
It has been told to me that other countries have free health care for their citizens so that health issues aren't as much as a problem for them. With so many people in our nation (USA) that are struggling to maintain their health, and health is supposed to be a main concern, why not have it so that health care is strictly covered by our government or have it so that people are only paying what they can actually afford? There have been times where you or someone you know has been in the emergency room and they either don't have insurance or can not afford the remaining cost of things needed to maintain there health. I would like for the people to let their voices be heard on this topic, whether on a personal aspect or on someone you know that is or has been affected by this very serious situation.

10) Why is it that the quality of a person is over looked by their presentation?
This is both in the business world and in a personal relationship. Someone may have the qualities that you or a specific company is looking for but if they do not present themselves in a decent manner, they have been known to be overlooked. Whether it's due to lack of money to be presentable or by freedom to express yourself. They say your not supposed to judge a book by its cover but we as a nation and as everyday people do it all the time. Are we hypercritical on our on words, and why do you think we do this?

I have plenty more questions that people would like to know the answer too, so there will be a continuation of questions in the future....be prepared.

Valentines Day

Valentines day is here and people are shopping around for gifts, candy, and outfits to wear out and inside...Lol!!! This is the time of the year where everyone is showing their love to their significant other. Crushes are being brought to the light, and mistakes are being corrected. That one knee is being dropped and the wedding ring that once was bare is now covered. So in this blog I have some questions that I would like to hear your responses on.

Q1) What gift would be the best gift to give and receive, and why?

Q2) Out of all the days that are in a year, why is this day classified as official day of love?

Q3) So much more is escalated when this day comes. Those who are not in a relationship, do you consider this a day of love, or a day of lust?

I also over heard some females talking about valentines day about 2wks ago, and one of the females said that her long time man referred to Valentines day, a day for just women not for men.

Q4)Is Valentines day a day just for the women to celebrate?

Q5)Ladies: How many woman out there go out there way to make this a special day for your man, just as much as you want him to make it special for you?

Q6) What ways can you make this day/night a special one to remember?

Q7)For those on a strict budget, how do you keep the romance alive on one of the days where the most money is being spent throughout the year?

Q8)Men- How many of you look forward to this day and appreciate showing and getting the love?

Q9)Men let the women know what you would like from them this Valentines day that hasn't been given before and that you would remember?

Q10)People are not getting or staying together as long as our grandparents have weathered the storm, so is love underrated in today's age and time and why do you feel it is or isn't?

These are just a few questions that I and some others want to hear the answers to. It would be nice to hear the many different responses that you have.

Automated Systems

Today I was on the phone trying to make some important calls for some important things and kept on getting redirected by this automated system and it annoyed me as usual. The most crazy thing about an automated system is that you sometimes only want one question answered. Taking you through loops, and making you spend your time on the phone waiting for your specific number code that matches your question(s) that you want answered. Now I've never really liked the automated service system because it feels as if what you want to get across is falling on deaf ears.

Q) How many people feel the same way about automated systems as I do?

A)The many discussions I have had with people after getting off the phone with an automated system I would say a large population of the people feel the same as I do. People love to interact or feel as if they are being heard and it is simply known that the automated system does not have any of those qualities. Just to hear the voice of someone that actually has feelings and understand what and why you feel the way you do is a plus in it self. Even if it is to just yell and get your point across.

Another reason I truly hate the automated systems is the fact that it takes away from potential employment for someone who may need a job. With the way that today's economy is, this would probably decrease the unemployment rate drastically, with all these companies that invested into the systems. People would have jobs to train the employees on how to be customer service friendly and much more. But being cost efficient is what companies yearn for and do not second guest when something new to help them save money comes along.

Q) So should companies have a time line when the automated systems should be active and when a true person is strictly answering your questions from the start of the call?...Giving back to the people, balancing out there funds so that we may find the greater of two evils.

A)I think that the solution would be to balance out the time line of when the automated service is constantly answering and directing your calls. This will allow people to have an income, but may cost the company more money than they would like to spend.

I mean lets think about it on a customer service stand point. I have to call a company and find out information that is valuable for me to know, just to speak to an automated system. I'm wasting my time, my money because my cell phone charges me for every minute that I use during the day (for those who have a monthly bill and do not have unlimited minutes). I am also loosing my cool and my blood pressure is rising due to the fact that the automated system has me either repeating myself too much or didn't get the correct number I pressed, for some reason.

Q)So have companies faded away from the true customer service way of life...? Just to save some money and increase the companies worth. And should companies go back to having more customer service agents representing the company offering great customer service?

A) I am saying yes to both questions. I know that most of these companies eventually have a representative answer the call after the automated service has redirected you. By then you are either tired of waiting and furious and taking out your anger on the representative answering the call. Now depending on why you are calling may have stopped you from getting that way, if you originally had someone to talk to.
Companies have been and will always be in the best interest of the company, now how they go about it differs from company to company. Most companies say that pleasing the customer with great customer service is the way they go about it, and other companies take different approaches and fading away from true customer service by allowing these automated systems to help manage calls is one of them. They feel as if these machines will provide a swift and efficient way of customer satisfaction, but I don't how. In my mind customer service has turned into a myth or some kind of folk tale.

Super Bowl and more...

While watching the Super Bowl and the many people that are rooting for their respective team to win, What makes this event so Big?
Millions and millions of football fans that root for a different team throughout the regular season tune in to see who will win the ultimate title of the season. You don't even have to like the teams that are participating, or even know or like football. It is just something about this event that draws people from all over to pay attention to football this particular day.
Money is being made through different events, commercial adds, and more. So for a respective city to be able to host this major event brings on a lot of promise for a lot of people, whether sports lovers or sports haters.
So my main question is, what is it about the Super Bowl that makes a great percentage of people tune in, even if their not fans of the team or sport?
